Things to Do with Dad on Father’s Day in Wilmington

Father's Day provides the perfect opportunity to take some time to enjoy life and spend time with family. Some of the Wilmington's top attractions are running great specials that can help make the day even more special. 

Many people may choose to use the weekend to hit the water while others may take Dad out for a great meal. Whatever he's in to, there's something for him on our list of the top things to do on Father's Day in Wilmington

Wrightsville Beach Scenic Tours

Getting out on the water is the perfect way to spend any day in Wilmington, and Father's Day is no exception. Wrightsville Beach Scenic Tours is offering a Father's Day Eco-Cruise.

Tours depart from Blockade Runner Beach Resort at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, and father's fish free with two other paid family members. 

Wilmington Water Tours Cruise

Wilmington Water Tours regularly provide great opportunities to get out and see all the scenery on the Cape Fear River. They have a special Father's Day Hot Dog Cruise this year that runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. 

There will be Boars Head hot dogs with all the fixings and a full bar available. Tickets are $30 for adults and $18 for children. 

Clay Walker at The Wilson Center

If Dad is a country music fan, he'll enjoy seeing the contemporary artist Clay Walker take the Cape Fear Stage at The Wilson Center. Walker has been a star for over two decades and landed 31 singles on the Billboard country chart. 

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and showtime is at 7:30 p.m. Balcony seating is $24, grand tier tickets are $58, and seats in the orchestra are $72. 

Father's Day Brunch 

Wilmington has great brunch offerings in Downtown and on the Riverwalk. Henry's has a crate-to-plate menu and a drink list that includes $3 mimosas and $6 Bloody Marys. 

The George on the Riverwalk is revered for their scenic views, and they have several seafood dishes on the brunch menu that fit the setting. The Fork n Cork is a popular Downtown stop, and they add brunch classics to their regular menu of tasty burgers.
