After the race, there is always celebrations across the island at restaurants and bars, and well as plenty of food and drinks to help get the holiday underway. The Steve Haydu St. Patrick's Lo Tide Run is an annual 5K/10K race on a flat and fast track through residential neighborhoods and around Carolina Beach Lake with a beach start. A beautiful venue on Pleasure Island held every March.
The Steve Haydu St. Patrick's Lo Tide Fund, Inc is a non-profit entity founded with the sole purpose of assisting local residents diagnosed with cancer that are in financial need. The annual Lo Tide Run is the only event held by the Fund to raise money for this purpose.
