The Town of Oak Island officially turns TWENTY years old on July 1st, 2019! Oak Island Parks and Recreation is inviting the entire community, and island visitors, to join in on the celebration by attending Beach Day on July 1st!

Serving as part of the NC Fourth of July Festival, this community wide event will have island residents and guests celebrating all that coastal living has to offer! Take part in food, shopping, live music, and youth activities (inflatables, games, and rides, etc.) at Middleton Park before making your way to the Cabana area to sign up of various tournaments for classic beach games. Mark your calendars, and call your friends, because the beach is waiting to make this your best summer ever!

2019 Beach Day At A Glance
8:00 am. - Horseshoe Tournament @ Middleton Park Extension
10:00 am. -Registration for all beach athletic events @ Beach side near Cabana
11:00 am. - 3:00 p.m. - Youth Activities and Contests @ Middleton Park Extension - Inflatables, rides, games and food.
1:00 pm. - Sand Sculpture Contests @ Beach side near Cabana
11:00 am. - Corn Hole Tournament & Bocce Ball Tournament @ Beach side near Cabana
11:00 am. - Volleyball Tournament @ Beachside near Cabana (Registration at 10:00a.m.)
4:00 pm. - Skateboard Competition @ Kevin Bell Skate Park on Oak Island
6:00pm. Steve Owens and Summertime Band
7:00pm.– Shag Dance Contest
9:00pm– Fireworks from Oak Island Pier
