Thurs, 4/9: Spring Science: Bees and Birds
Discover why bird poop is white and how honey is made. Do the bee “waggle dance” and see why these hardworking insects are so important. Dissect an owl pellet to find out what they like to eat. Explore a local endangered bird and make a model woodpecker to take home. The Cape Fear Raptor Center and the New Hanover County Beekeepers Association will both be here for Bees and Birds.

Explore Earth’s favorite star! Make a sun print, create shadows and find out what makes a rainbow. Examine the importance of sunscreen with a fun bracelet you can take home. Discover how far Earth is from the sun and do the “moon dance” to see how eclipses are created.
