This traditional Mexican restaurant in Wilmington, NC is owned by the Ibarra family from the small Mexican town of Degollado. The name El Cerro Grande is inspired by a "Big Hill” close to their family ranch. El Cerro Grande began as an idea to provide authentic, quality Mexican food with exceptional and friendly service, and the door of their first restaurant was opened in Wilmington, NC in January 1991. It has since grown to include three locations in Wilmington. Open daily from 11:00 am and offering the best Mexican lunch and dinner in town, restaurants are located at: 341 S. College Rd, 5120 S. College Rd, 1051 Military Cutoff Rd. Every location strives to provide consistent, quality food, service based on their founding principles and a great ambience for sharing with family and friends.
