If you’re planning on visiting Wilmington this 4th of July or are a native, there are several fun ways to celebrate America’s independence. Get the biggest "bang" out of your celebration by seeing one of these fireworks shows for July 4th in Wilmington!

City of Wilmington 4th of July Celebration

If you have sea legs, climb aboard the USS North Carolina Battleship for the annual City of Wilmington 4th of July Celebration. You have to be a member of the Friends of the Battleship North Carolina, but memberships start as low as just $35. Several food trucks will be on hand to satisfy any and all food cravings you may have. Festivities will begin at 7 p.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m.

July 4th Firecracker Cruise

If you prefer a more traditional cruise, Wilmington Water Tours will be hosting a July 4th Firecracker Cruise at the same time as the battleship celebration. For $60 a ticket, you'll enjoy a 90-minute river cruise complete with appetizers and patriotic drink specials as well as a spectacular fireworks extravaganza on the Cape Fear River.

4th of July Celebration on the Waterfront

If you’re more of a landlubber, head over to the Downtown Wilmington Riverfront Park to celebrate the 4th of July and enjoy food vendors, live entertainment, and one of the most beautiful fireworks display on the East Coast. This free event is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 9:05 p.m.
